Another rainy day

Another rainy day, but yesterday the weather was wonderful for the peace march in downtown Concord. Faith groups and peace groups came together to make a stand for more creative ways for dealing with conflict in the world. I read in the Monitor that roughly 800 people came to march, including some Episcopalians. Bishop Robinson, Theuner and other clergy were there as well as members of churches in the Diocese.
Arnie asked Lindley and me and some others to be Peace Keepers for the day. Lindley was much better at the task than I as he didn't get distracted by wanting to participate more in activities once we got to the rally on the State House lawn. Even though our wedding rings have the figures of a triathlete doing the three sports: swimming, biking and running...at one point I had though of suggesting we put some message of peace on our rings.
My brother-in-law said today if there weren't so many conflicts over natural resources, particularly energy...there would be more peace in the world.
