Sweltering

Been sweltering here since midweek. The midsection of the country and south has been gripped by a heatwave much longer and we are told it will last much longer for them, but we will get some relief tomorrow from the humidity. Cooler by us here in the hills amongst the trees, but still plenty tropical. Parts of the beaver pond have dried up, attracting birds that like to feast on the insects that frolick in the mud.
