Flowers in the Rain
Today it rained finally after so many days without it. We went fishing at Millen Pond despite the damp weather and Lindley caught a bass. It's now in the freezer. I got cold so we returned home and Lindley continued to fish.
Carol, the chair of the Washington Conservation Commission, came over to help identify some of our plants. We have an amazing variety - including a plant with seeds which that were once used to make doll's eyes (it's on this blog...can you guess which plant it is?) It is actually poisonous so I hope no small child succumbed after nibbling on their doll's head.
My camera is not charged up so I didn't get any pictures today, but here is one from last week...butterflies enjoying the Joe Pie Weed.
