Late Summer - Early Fall

Our computer has been blocking my sign in for new posts so I haven't posted since mid-August.
Lots of changes on the pond as summer turns to fall. It was a great year for berries. I found two sites on the property near the pond with high bush blueberries and was able to pick some before any animals got to them! Elderberries were also ample and I had enough to make tarts and freeze a small bag-full. It's nice to eat off the land. I am hoping to learn more about our immediate edible plants so we can live in more locally. Harvested some Bone Set, too, in case of flu's.
When I am able I will post some photos!
Crickets and locusts were also plentiful this year, and the latter ate the broccoli leaves! saw a Northeastern brown snake and varieties of butterflies and moths in late August-Early September. August and early Sept. were cool, especially in the mornings.
