Vernal Pools and Creatures

Today our Conservation Commission held a vernal pool workshop for kids and their parents in the town. We scooped up quite a lot of creatures from mosquito larvae to salamanders and skate bugs. The spring waters are teeming with life.

I could scoop for hours, if my neck didn’t start to ache after a while! Much better than filing!
