Not Much Snow

It has continued to be a rather dry winter. We still have snow on the ground in Washington, but Concord has open snowless fields. Storms have been tracking to our South...way South, in fact, all the way down in Virginia. Are friends in DC and New Jersey are looking at over two feet of snow today.

Little creatures have been treading across the snow lately. What might be raccoon prints lead from the edge of the field out back down into the fallen White Pine - perhaps it has a snuggly hideaway underneath the massive trunk.

It's been very chilly and icy underfoot so not much snow has melted here in recent days. I've had a long chest cold so I haven't been out on the snowshoes in a couple of weeks. Maybe I will venture out tomorrow and take some photos.
