November Dark days

Had some warm days this month. One particular sunny Sunday, I sat out in a chair on the front lawn and I could what sounded like wood frog clucking? Today is the day after Thanksgiving and the temperatures are more seasonable. In fact, we just had some mixed precipitation.
We are actually up in the White Mtns for the holiday, but we heard that it's the same down by us.
