Seeing Red

Up here in the hills of New Hampshire, the sugar maple leaves are turning red and leaves are dropping, littering the forest floor in heaps of clashing colors. Some wildflowers and garden flowers remain, competing with the colors of the trees.

When I venture from flower to flower...I seem to be following the pattern of the bumble bees. Soon this lavish landscape will strip bare and again we will see beyond the trees.
